But it's beautiful!

Fakesgivingmas
On the Sunday after Christmas, Steph and Simo invited us over for Fakesgivingmas. Since they missed Thanksgiving because they were in ARUBA, they were feeling left out and wanted some turkey (we were feeling left out because we didn't go to ARUBA, but they didn't invite us over for a beach party). Simon is turning into quite an awesome cook, which probably has a lot to do with cooking being about 95% science. He and Steph brined their turkey and it turned out perfectly browned, moist and delicious:
Miso is learning to use his kitty bed:
But the girls would not leave him alone:

Steph needs to have a baby, don't you think?
Here's my babies:
Have a safe and happy Fakesgivingmas. Also Happy New Year!
Manda makes a Pie
Manda made upside down apple pie for Fakesgivingmas. She found the recipe online someplace, I don't know where or I'd totally tell you.
Look at those nimble fingers a-flyin!
Into the oven with a drip pan below. This turned out to be a crucial step in the process.
Turned out just beautiful, and it was YUMMY!
